dōTERRA has made it simple to make changes to toxin-free products in our home. We love cleaning, cooking, and simply making the house smell great with dōTERRA. With small steps over time with have completely been able to swap out our cleaning solutions in our house. Saving hundreds of dollars a year with easy recipes has also been fun. I love my easy window cleaner. It uses water, white vinegar, and lemon essential oil... that's it. When it comes to cooking, the oils have been a great addition to our spice cabinet. A little goes a long way and besides, I don't have to cut up wilting cilantro or a whole lime just for some flavor. Drop drop drop... I also, never knew that many household fragrances (room sprays, furniture cleaners, carpet powders, dryer sheets--the list goes on & on) are filled with toxins. Essential oils have made it possible to still have a wonderful smelling home with out the unnecessary toxins. So many wins. Check out some recipes below.
My favorite essential oils for cleaning are Lemon, On Guard, Tea Tree, and Purify. I also think dōTERRA's Cleaner Concentrate is a powerful option for cleaning all kinds of surfaces--counters, floors, showers, mirrors, sinks, stoves, you name it.
My favorite window cleaner recipe leaves windows sparkling and clear.
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup white vinegar
20 drops of Lemon essential oil
Purify is fabulous for stinky things such as garbage cans, garbage disposals, shoes, carpets, and for diffusing to eliminate strong unwanted odors.
1/2 cup baking soda
5-10 drops essential oil
Mix, sprinkle, wait 15-20 minutes, and then vacuum up for a fresh scent
Tea Tree and On Guard are in my toilet cleaner recipe. Easy and even a bit of fun, the kiddos may even want to take on this task.

Essential oils are naturally potent and powerful because they are highly concentrated and taken directly from natural sources. The purity and potency of essential oils make them perfect for adding flavor to any dish. Because essential oils are so powerful, it doesn’t take much to add an extra kick of flavor to your favorite entrees, beverages, meats, desserts, and more. Some of my favorite oils to have for cooking and baking are Peppermint, Lemongrass, Lemon, Lime, Wild Orange, Coriander, Fennel, Ginger, Rosemary Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove, Basil, and Cilantro. Here are two of my favorite recipes.
